Cheap Dog Accessories, Clothes, and Products

A dogs is a man's best friend. Everyone is encouraged to have a pet at home. Like a little child, pets give joy inside a home. Dogs and cats are the most popular domesticated animals. And here in the Philippines, you can easily get a pet - either it's from your neighbor's litter or a relatives, you can have a pet if only you desire so.

Having a pet is fulfilling. But it is also quite a responsibility. Pets are animals that have life. Therefore, they must be taken cared of and treated humanely. If you have pedigree dogs, all the more that you need to put in a lot of time, effort, and oftentimes money, to make sure that it is very comfortable in your home.

Having pets means buying stuff for it. And most of the time, the things that you buy for your dog is more expensive than those you use yourself. Dog shampoos can cost as high as Php500. Premium dog food like Canidae can go as high as Php250 per kilo. Dog soap is around Php150. Add all these expenses in a month and you'll say, having a dog means extending your budget!

Well, not anymore. I came across a good stall at the Legazpi Sunday Market that sells organic and natural products for dogs. The prices of their products are not that expensive, as organic dog soaps start at a mere Php85, shampoos at Php250, and even colognes (yes your pets need to smell good too) at Php195.

What's so good about their store is that all their products are all natural and organic. And that means no harsh chemicals to harm yours. Note that all commercial dog products - the ones you can buy at supermarkets - are all chemical-based. They can create residue on your dog's hide in the long run.

I probed more on the products and found out that most of them are locally made. This means they are supporting our country's bid with organic items, which is good because after all, the Philippines is home to a bounty produce. And once the organic market took off from here, we can dominate the rest of the world with our quality products. The organic market is big in the US right now. Now that's a big potential to our local farmers.

Going back to the dog stall, their name is WHMZ Organic and Natural Pet Shop. They also carry lots of dog accessories like toys, harness, and clothes. Their tarpaulin says their website is http://www.whmz.net. And they also have a Sulit store. Check it out from this link http://ludy.sulit.com.ph.

When I asked them why they put up their store, they said that they want all our furry friends enjoy the goodness of natural and organic products. Well, I'd like that for my dog. I believe it needs a change in its lifestyle somehow. Visit their physical store at the Legazpi Sunday Market, every Sundays of the month 7am-2pm. See you at the market!

Smart Rewards Redemption Currently Erratic

If you're an avid Smart subscriber, then you must have heard about Smart Rewards. This is the telco's way of giving rebates to their loyal customers. The points are usually credited a few days after loading. It is the equivalent of Globe Rewards.

To join Smart Rewards, just text REWARDS to 9800.

Five points is credited for every load you buy. Keep on loading and you'll get higher points, which you can change for free airtime or text messages. All kinds of Smart load is valid for points.

To check your points, text POINTS to 9800.

The most popular redemption item in this program is AllText10, which comes with 30 Smart to Smart and Talk n Text texting credits and 10 to other networks. AllText10 costs 1,300 points.

To redeem Alltext10, just text REDEEM ALLTEXT10 to 9800.

I have been a regular Smart Rewards points redeemer, so to speak. But days before the holiday season, the redemption system has been erratic. As a result, I lost a lot of points.

First, they instantly credited me with 2 ALLTEXT10 packages. The usual waiting time for this is 48 hours. The error somehow benefited me but it unwanted. I don't want two packages. Just one. My accumulated Smart Rewards points was deducted by 1,300 twice.

On New Year's Eve, I tried to redeem again. Unfortunately, I didn't receive a confirmation message until January 3. That's way too long as such a message usually arrives right after texting the keywords. I expected to receive the load by January 5. Unfortunately, no free load came in until now. But I was deducted points anyway.

Another not-so good thing about this program is that you cannot keep on texting the keywords because you'll be deducted over and over again. Plus, if you texted the wrong thing, it would cost you Php1 worth of your airtime load. If you want to join, check your points, redeem, or do anything with Smart Rewards, be very careful. There's always that chance of getting 1 peso out of you regular load.

So for my cheapsie review of Smart Rewards:

When it is working - 3 Thumbs UP

When it is not - 2 Thumbs UP

Over all - Average
